Welcome to Cheena Bakes, a cake ordering application developed by Lakshya Badjatya (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the Cheena Bakes app. By using the app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We collect the following categories of information:

We use collected information solely for the following purposes:

• ✓Authenticate your identity via email/password or Google Sign-In
• ✓Display and manage the cake catalog for browsing and ordering
• ✓Process your cake orders including weight selection, quantity, and custom messages
• ✓Generate UPI QR codes for secure payment processing
• ✓Store and display your order history and order status
• ✓Pre-fill delivery details (phone, address) from your profile for faster checkout
• ✓Allow admin to manage cake listings, pricing, and order fulfillment

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, analytics tracking, or any purpose outside of the cake ordering service described above.

Cheena Bakes uses UPI (Unified Payments Interface) for payment processing. When you place an order:

• A QR code is generated containing the UPI payment URI with the order amount
• You scan the QR code using your preferred UPI app (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.)
• The payment is processed entirely by your UPI app — we do not collect, store, or have access to your bank details, UPI PIN, or transaction credentials
• We only store the order ID and amount for order tracking purposes

All data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore, Firebase Authentication, and Firebase Storage), which complies with industry-standard security practices.

• All data in transit is encrypted using TLS/HTTPS
• All data at rest is encrypted by Firebase
• Authentication is handled securely via Firebase Auth (email/password and Google OAuth)
• Database access is restricted by Firestore Security Rules — users can only access their own data
• Admin access is restricted to authorized email addresses only
• Cake product images are stored in Firebase Storage with read-only public access

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. Data may be shared only in these limited circumstances:

• Order fulfillment: Your delivery address and phone number are used by Cheena Bakes to deliver your order
• Service providers: Firebase/Google as described above, solely to operate the app
• Legal obligations: If required by law, court order, or government authority

Your account data and order history are retained for as long as your account remains active. Order records are kept for business accounting purposes.

If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, please contact us at the email below and we will process your request within 30 days.

Cheena Bakes is a general consumer application. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that a child has provided personal information, we will delete it immediately.

As a user of Cheena Bakes, you have the right to:

• Request access to the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Update your profile information (name, phone, address) at any time within the app
• Sign out of the app to end your active session

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
